Patrick Fay is the founder and president of Linear Solutions Inc., a national supplier of electrical conduit and related products to electrical supply houses across the United States. Based in Griffith, Indiana, Linear Solutions has grown rapidly since its founding in 2018, now serving customers across most of the continental United States through a network of trusted sales representatives and distribution partners.

In 2025, Linear Solutions was honored as one of Crain’s Chicago Fast 50, recognizing it as one of the region’s fastest-growing private companies.

Patrick holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Michigan State University and an MBA from the University of Michigan Ross School of Business. He is also a licensed Professional Engineer (P.E.) in the state of Illinois.

Before founding Linear Solutions, Patrick spent eight years in the automotive industry, holding roles in engineering and purchasing at Ford Motor Company, followed by a position in management consulting with Ricardo, where he advised global OEMs on operations and supply chain strategy.

He later joined the strategic sourcing department at Atkore International, one of North America’s largest manufacturers of electrical conduit. As part of an operational leadership development program, Patrick spent nearly a year working directly on the manufacturing floor at Allied Tube, where he learned every aspect of conduit production — from raw material handling and galvanizing to threading, packaging, and quality control.

This rare combination of hands-on manufacturing expertise and strategic sourcing insight gave Patrick the foundation to launch Linear Solutions with the vision, technical depth, and operational grit required to compete — and win — in a legacy-driven industry.

Patrick is known for his intensity, competitive spirit, and relentless passion for the business. He brings the drive and edge it takes to succeed in a highly commoditized market — while never losing sight of people, partnerships, or long-term trust.

When he’s not at the Linear Solutions headquarters, in front of customers, or going head-to-head with major manufacturers, Patrick enjoys playing piano, competing on the tennis court, and — most of all — spending time with his wife and their three boys.
